A four-hands massage is one treatment for one guest, given by two therapists at the same time. In Thai Clinic App it is an ordinary treatment with one extra number: “Staff needed at once”, set to two. From then on the calendar offers a time only when two therapists are free for the whole block — not absent, rostered for the entire time including buffers, and not booked elsewhere — and blocks both of them for it. The appointment keeps one lead therapist plus the colleague who works alongside her.
How it works
- Finishing the setup wizard creates the treatment “Four-hands Thai massage 60” for you, already set to two therapists. For a treatment of your own, open it and set “Staff needed at once” to 2 — the field accepts up to the number of active employees in your business.
- At the front desk you pick the treatment and a time, and the field “Additional employees” appears. Leave it empty and Thai Clinic App picks a colleague who is free and shows the pick under the field; choose her yourself and she has to be free — otherwise the form refuses the time with its own message: nobody else is free at this time.
- Guests book it online like any other treatment (Pro). They leave the therapist open or choose one; the second pair of hands comes from the therapists who are bookable online and allowed to give the treatment. If the guest chose a therapist, only times where she leads are offered.
- In the calendar the appointment appears in both columns: in the lead therapist's, and in her colleague's with a “+” in front of the guest's name. The booking list and the detail page show the team as “Anna + Ben”, and each of the two gets the staff e-mail at her own notification address, in her own language.
- When you record the treatment from the appointment, the field “Worked alongside” is already filled with the colleague. The revenue counts once, at the full price; the treatment's commission amount is shared between both therapists, and each finds the row in her own payroll.
What you get
- No more comparing two diaries: a time is only offered when both therapists are free for the whole treatment.
- Guests book the four-hands massage online themselves, day or night, without having to know who the second therapist will be.
- Both therapists are blocked for the full duration, so nobody can book either of them into the middle of it.
- The calendar shows the appointment in both columns, so each therapist sees her own day as it really is.
- Revenue and statistics count the treatment once, at its full price — no doubled figures.
- The commission amount is divided between the two automatically and the payroll row says who it was shared with; switch the split off in the settings and each therapist gets the full amount.
- The template brings a four-hands Thai massage of 60 minutes; its price is an example derived from your currency and wants your own number.
Who it's for
- A studio with five therapists whose four-hands massage used to be arranged by phone: who is free at four, and who can take over the next guest at five.
- A team that wants to sell the four-hands massage online and needs the booking page to show only times when two therapists are really free.
- An owner who pays a commission per treatment and wants the two therapists of a four-hands massage to share it without a calculator.
An example from everyday use
Saturday afternoon. A guest opens the studio's booking page, picks the four-hands Thai massage and leaves the therapist open. The page offers 16:00 but not 15:30: at 15:30 Ploy is still with a guest, and only from 16:00 are two therapists, Malee and Nok, free for the whole hour. The guest books 16:00 and sees Malee as her therapist. In the calendar the massage sits in Malee's column and, with a “+” before the guest's name, in Nok's — nobody can book Nok into that hour. Afterwards the front desk records the treatment; “Worked alongside” already says Nok. The day's revenue shows the price once, and the treatment's commission appears half in Malee's payroll and half in Nok's.
Two therapists per treatment are part of the Pro plan, together with resources and online booking. A four-hands massage needs two active therapists: a studio with only one never gets a free time for it, so switch the treatment off until a colleague joins. Online, the guest sees only the lead therapist — in the summary, the confirmation and the reminder.
Frequently asked
Can guests book a four-hands massage online?
Yes, from the Pro plan, like any other treatment. The guest leaves the therapist open or chooses one; Thai Clinic App finds the second therapist among the colleagues who are bookable online and allowed to give the treatment. If the guest chose a therapist, only times where she leads are offered. In the summary, the confirmation and the reminder the guest sees the lead therapist.
Who becomes the second therapist?
At the front desk you can choose her yourself in “Additional employees”; she has to be free at that time. Leave the field empty and Thai Clinic App takes the first free colleague who may give the treatment, and shows the pick under the field before you save. Online the software always picks, and when a guest moves her appointment online, the team is searched afresh.
What happens if only one therapist is free?
Then that time is not offered. Online the guest simply does not see it; at the front desk the form says that the treatment needs more than one employee and nobody else is free at this time. Working hours, absences, other appointments and buffers count for both therapists, and a cabin the treatment needs must be free as well.
How are revenue and commission counted?
The recorded treatment stays one row with the full price, so revenue, profit and top treatments count it once, for the lead therapist. The commission is a fixed amount per treatment; on a team appointment it is divided by the number of therapists — 10.00 becomes 5.00 each — and the payroll row reads “shared with …”. Switch off “Share the commission base on team appointments” in the settings and each therapist gets the full amount.
I work on my own — can I offer a four-hands massage?
Not on your own: the treatment needs two active therapists, and with one the calendar never finds a free time for it. The setup wizard creates it anyway; switch it off until a colleague joins, and it is bookable from the day she is in your team.
Is a four-hands massage the same as a couples massage?
No. A four-hands massage is one guest, two therapists, one booking — and guests can book it online. A couples massage is two guests side by side, each with her own therapist and her own booking, in one double cabin, and your front desk creates it. Both come with the Pro plan.
