A couples massage in Thai Clinic App is a couples appointment: two bookings for two guests, each with her own treatment and her own therapist, held together at the same time in one double cabin. The front desk creates both in one step; if the second guest cannot be placed, neither booking is created. Inside the pair the double cabin is shared, for every other booking it stays taken — and each guest keeps her own booking, notes and status.
How it works
- Finishing the setup wizard creates the treatment “Couples massage 60” — one booking per guest, priced per guest — and the resource type “Double cabin”. The cabin itself you enter under resources, because only you know you have one; you then pick it on the couples appointment.
- The couple calls or messages you, and your front desk opens the booking form and switches on “Second guest (couples appointment)”. The second guest gets her own treatment and her own therapist, and the first guest's double cabin is shared by both. Saving creates both bookings in one step — if the second guest cannot be placed, neither is saved.
- The form checks the rules for you: two different guests, the same total duration for both, and for the second guest a treatment that one therapist gives.
- In the calendar and in the booking list both entries carry “· Couples appointment”, and each detail page links to the partner. Moving one booking moves the other to the same time, each keeping her therapist and cabin — if the partner cannot be placed, nothing moves.
- Cancelling asks “Cancel only this guest, or both?”; the remaining guest becomes an ordinary booking and keeps her cabin and time. A couple booked under one e-mail address gets one reminder per stage, two addresses get one each.
What you get
- One step at the front desk creates both bookings, so a couple never ends up with one guest booked and the other forgotten.
- The double cabin is taken for every other booking for the whole time, while the two guests of the pair never block each other.
- Each guest keeps her own treatment, her own therapist and her own customer record with pressure preference and notes.
- Each guest has her own status, so a no-show of one is only her no-show.
- Moving the appointment moves both guests together, and nothing moves if the partner does not fit.
- Cancelling one guest leaves the other's booking, cabin and time untouched.
- A couple sharing one e-mail address receives one reminder per stage instead of two.
- The template's couples massage is priced per guest; its price is an example derived from your currency and wants your own number.
Who it's for
- A studio with a double cabin that used to find out at the door that the second therapist was booked elsewhere.
- A front desk that books couples for anniversaries and birthdays and wants both bookings moved in one go when the couple calls to change the time.
- A team where one guest of the pair wants firm pressure and the other a gentle oil massage — each with her own notes, on her own booking.
An example from everyday use
Friday morning a guest calls: she and her husband want a massage together on Sunday at 15:00, she a Thai massage, he an oil massage, both 60 minutes. The front desk enters her with Malee and the double cabin, switches on “Second guest (couples appointment)” and adds him with the oil massage and Nok. One save, two bookings — the double cabin is theirs from 15:00 to 16:00 and closed to every other booking. On Saturday he calls: 15:00 no longer works, 17:00 does. The front desk moves his booking, hers moves with it, Malee and Nok included. Both customer records carry her e-mail address, so one reminder goes out for the two of them.
Couples appointments are part of the Pro plan and are created by your team: guests cannot book one online — they call or message you, and the studio creates it. A couples appointment is exactly two guests with the same duration, and the second guest's treatment is given by one therapist, so a four-hands massage cannot be one half of a pair. Thai Clinic App never puts two strangers into the double cabin on its own.
Frequently asked
Can guests book a couples massage online themselves?
Not yet. A couples appointment is created by your team: the guests call or message, and the front desk enters both in one step. Nothing about a second guest exists in the online booking or the customer portal. A four-hands massage — one guest, two therapists — is different: guests can book that one online. Four-hands massage, no phone juggling
Do both guests need the same treatment?
No. Each guest gets her own treatment and her own therapist — a Thai massage for one, an oil massage for the other. What they share is the time: both need the same total duration, so a 60 and a 90 are two separate appointments. The second guest's treatment must be one that a single therapist gives.
How does the double cabin stay free for the couple?
The two bookings of a couples appointment do not block each other's cabin, so both guests fit into the double cabin; for every other booking it stays taken for the whole time. The cabin keeps capacity one on purpose, so Thai Clinic App never puts two strangers in it. The wizard creates the type “Double cabin”; you enter your cabin under resources and pick it on the couples appointment.
What happens if one guest cancels?
At the front desk you are asked whether to cancel only this guest or both. If only one is cancelled — also when a guest cancels through her own appointment link — the other becomes an ordinary booking and keeps her cabin, her time and her therapist. A no-show is recorded per guest.
Can a couples appointment have more than two guests?
No. A couples appointment is exactly two guests with the same duration. Three friends at the same time are three ordinary bookings, and the software does not pair two separate bookings into one cabin by itself.
Which plan do I need?
The Pro plan: couples appointments come with resources, and Pro also brings online booking and the four-hands massage. On Starter the switch “Second guest (couples appointment)” does not appear in the booking form.
